Individual Therapy

We all have stories. Therapy is a process of looking at the stories you tell to see what serves you and builds you up, and what might be ready for retirement. Sometimes your stories may feel like they run your life, or maybe you’re looking to write a new chapter.

While we traditionally think of stories as written or spoken aloud our bodies tell their own tales. Mindfulness and attention to the way we carry our history in our bodies can also be a part of this work.

Clinical Supervision

If you are here looking to continue your journey as a clinician, congratulations! I have experience as a clinical supervisor, field instructor, motivational interviewing coach and trainer, as well as over a decade of working with individuals and groups in clinical settings. I am also skilled in providing bilingual services, in both English and Spanish, and can address the special needs and concerns of supervisees who are working in both languages. I provide both individual and group supervision.

Motivational Interviewing Coaching & Training

Research in the use of Motivational Interviewing (MI) has shown that practitioner style and practice can either improve or degrade client outcomes. The practice of MI can be improved through the coding of sessions using a standardized coding tool that has been used with thousands of MI practitioners. I provide coaching to therapists, health practitioners and coaches on their own practice of Motivational Interviewing by coding individual sessions and providing feedback and training in MI best practices.

My own journey to joining the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers began 9 years ago when I was privileged to receive training and individual coaching through my workplace, eventually moving on to become a coach and assisting in the training of others. I am passionate about this practice and feel the “spirit of MI,” Partnership, Acceptance, Compassion and Evocation (PACE) is at the core of all the work I do as a therapist.

I am available to work with and coach individuals who are working with people in the process of change: health care practitioners, mental health practitioners, coaches, substance use counselors. I am also available to provide smaller group coaching and training for agencies.
